Designs are born out of scenes from paintings of Filipino masters depicting life as nostalgic reminders of who and what we are as a people. “Sa Bukid” tells the story of harvest and abundance in farmlands, that signify prosperity and community. Using the handmade traditional craft of Granulation interpreted through uneven spherules, it is a modern take on the more rigid details used in traditional tamburin.
